Clearer labels and work item stages
  • Clearer labels everywhere. On-screen labels now use one consistent vocabulary. For example, progress reads “N of M acceptance criteria met”, and building is called Building.
  • Four work item stages. Every work item now follows the same four stages: To do, In progress, Review and Done. See work items.
Honest acceptance and documentation
  • Acceptance states its limits. Acceptance criteria that can only be proven by running tests or the app are now disclosed as outside platform verification capabilities, instead of blocking release or passing silently. See requirements.
  • More reliable planning. Plans no longer fail on duplicate acceptance criteria, and repair them automatically.
  • New documentation. Product documentation moved to docs.ironoctopus.ai.
One planning workspace
  • Ideas and features in one place. Describing an idea, answering questions, reviewing the plan and approving it now happen in one planning workspace. See start with an idea.
  • Terms and privacy at sign-up. Sign-up and payment link to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Assessments follow the project team. Configured assessments always use the feature’s project team for review and AI billing.
Automatic acceptance and review reruns
  • Features move to Acceptance on their own as soon as every work item is done.
  • Request a new AI review. When a change is waiting for a person, you can ask Iron Octopus to review the same changes again first, and see the outcome live. See review and rework.
Simpler sign-up and defect hand-off
  • Sign-up, one step per screen. Sign-up at app.ironoctopus.ai/start now asks for one thing at a time: account, plan, payment, then your first idea. There’s no AI setup step. AI is included.
  • Defect fixes follow the normal path. Approving a defect’s repair creates a fix that’s planned, built, reviewed and released like any other work. See report a defect.
Self-serve sign-up
  • Start building on your own. Sign up, subscribe and describe your first idea at app.ironoctopus.ai/start, without talking to sales. See the quickstart.
Pioneer plan and hosted previews
  • Pioneer plan. The launch plan, with every capability included and a price lock for as long as you stay subscribed. See plans and billing.
  • Hosted previews. Check acceptance criteria that need a running app in a preview, and record the result.
  • Ideas grounded in your code. Idea chat reads the project’s repository, so plans reflect what’s already built.
